We’re redefining remote work and family life by creating a space for both, all under one roof. Let’s work, together.
The Aspen House
HELLO AND WELCOME!
The Aspen House is a joyful and focused membership based coworking space with one key difference - we offer on-site flexible hourly child care for your kids. We designed workspace and playspace that functions as your home away from home - a productive office with a hospitality focus that is built for your family.
We are opening early June in Suttons Bay, with the beauty of the Leelanau Peninsula at our doorstep. Oh, and we’re a quick 20 minute jaunt from Traverse City just off of scenic M22. We can’t wait to welcome you!
Remote and hybrid remote work has become appealing to both employees and management. We don’t see this flexible work arrangement going anywhere soon! Also, the number of small business owners and creative freelancers is growing. The journey of entrepreneurship can be lonely - The Aspen House is here to serve as your home away from home, and a third space where you can focus, connect, and create. We have communal rooms, quiet focus rooms, dedicated private call space, and all of the amenities you’d expect from a coworking space. Zippy fast Wifi, printer and office supplies, a small kitchenette with coffee, tea, and regular events to socialize and meet other members. We offer monthly memberships along with a limited number of drop-in and visitor’s passes. We are open Monday - Friday from 10 AM to 4 PM.
Productivity with peace of mind
Hospitality Focused Coworking
Health and wellness is at the heart of what we do
Northern Michigan has a bounty of entrepreneurs and small business owners in the health and wellness industries, with care and services tailored to women, parents, and those experiencing the spectrum of life’s challenges and need. Whether you are a pelvic health specialist, mindfulness-based stress reduction therapist, or a yoga teacher, we want to serve as a space to connect with and share your services with new and existing clients in an open and inviting space with child watch on-site. If you serve parents in their birthing and family building years, there is a space for you at The Aspen House.
We envision The Aspen House as a gathering space for area families with children in the thick of the early parenting years. Throughout the day, as well as during evenings and weekends, we’ll be a hub for parent-centric classes such as pre and postpartum support groups, breastfeeding and lactation classes, mental and physical health drop-in sessions and more. Our monthly events will help give families a space to form and nurture community with others!

Tech Integrated, Flexible Hourly Childcare
We are mission focused on solving the leading problems of the childcare landscape by building upon a fairly new business model of flexible hourly childcare services, with easy to use booking systems so you can schedule on-site care from your phone. We primarily serve infants and toddlers ages 3 months to 4 years old. Our childcare services are available Monday - Friday from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM with minimum blocks of 2 hours per child and maximum 6 hours per child. We offer a nurturing, open-ended play space with quality caregivers who can’t wait to meet your children! Parents must remain on-site for the duration of the childcare.
OUR MISSION
Our mission is to cultivate a vibrant, dynamic, and connected space where adults and children can share in their days in a supported work and play space.
The Aspen House will create a third space that bridges the gap between home and work. Our space will serve as core social infrastructure in for families to find the support of their village, particularly in the early childhood years.

“Shouting ‘self-care’ at people who actually need community care is how we fail people.”
